Vanta Ray
Rotterdam selector who learned to DJ on belt-drive decks in a squatted cinema. Treats the crossfader like a scalpel.
Fourteen tracks of squelching 303 lines, liquid chrome pads and warehouse-grade kick drums, mixed end to end by resident selector VANTA RAY. One continuous transmission. Drops worldwide 03 July 2026.
ACID MIRROR 303 was recorded over nine months in a converted substation in east Rotterdam, on a desk of resurrected hardware: a battle-scarred TB-303, a TR-909 with a cracked shell, and a rack of spring reverbs that hum even when the power is off.
Vanta Ray stitched the fourteen tracks into a single 74-minute mix, beat-matched on tape with zero digital edits. What you hear is one take, flaws and all, because acid was never supposed to be clean.
Every cassette is duplicated in real time, dipped in a mirror-chrome shell, and numbered by hand. When the 303 copies are gone, they are gone.
